CAVITY SYMPTOMS

Most likely you won't even be aware that a cavity is forming, which is why it's important to visit your dentist for regular check-ups and cleanings.

Cavities

Signs and symptoms of cavities vary from person to person, and also depending on the location and extent of decay. As tooth decay worsens, you may experience stronger symptoms.

Toothache or Tooth Sensitivity

You may experience a mild to severe toothache depending on the level of tooth decay. Tooth sensitivity may also be heightened or triggered by hot, cold, or sweet foods and beverages.

Tooth Staining

If you notice brown, black, or even white staining on your teeth, ask your dentist about it. This could be a cavity symptom.

Visible Holes in Teeth

Cavities create pits or holes in our teeth, but they can easily go unnoticed by an untrained eye. If you do notice pits or holes in a tooth, it's recommended that you visit the dentist even if you don't have any other symptoms.
