Flossing
Flossing helps remove food and plaque between teeth, where your toothbrush can’t reach, as well as along the gum line, where plaque tends to build up. Make sure you’re flossing correctly for the best results:
Step 1:
First, make sure you’re using a brush with a head that’s small enough to reach all parts of your mouth. Always choose soft or medium bristles and replace your toothbrush about once every three months.
Step 2:
Guide the floss between your teeth using a gentle rubbing motion. Never snap the floss into the gums.
Step 3:
When the floss reaches the gum line, curve it into a C shape against one tooth. Gently slide it into the space between the gum and the tooth.
Step 4:
Hold the floss tightly against the tooth. Gently rub the side of the tooth, moving the floss away from the gum with up and down motions.
Step 5:
Repeat this method on the rest of your teeth. Remember to get the back side of your last tooth.
